HIMSS Executive Management and Turkish Republic Ministry of Health Delegation had a meeting for HIMSS Eurasia event in Las Vegas. Leadership of HIMSS Eurasia in the region was the discussion subject in the meeting held during HIMSS Conference and Exhibition in Venetian – Palazzo – Sands Expo Center in 5-9 March 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Turkish Republic Ministry of Health Deputy Secretary Dr. Şuayip Birinci and Ministry of Health Delegation, Medipol University HIMSS Analytics Turkey Director Assistant Profesor İlker Köse, Medipol University HIMSS Analytics Turkey Coordinator Suna Kırdağ Mahir, İzmir Tire Devlet Hastanesi and HIMSS Governing Council Member Dr. Gürhan Zincircioğlu, HIMSS President and CEO Half Wolf, HIMSS EVP and Managing Director Bruce Steinberg, HIMSS Vice President Cathrine Ryan, HIMSS Latin America and Europe Regional Director John Rayner, HIMSS Senior Community Manager Angela Velkova, Ekspoturk CEO Beşir Kemal Şahin and Ekspoturk International Marketing Director Betül Arslan attended in the meeting. The details of Turkey’s success in health IT was shared with HIMSS Executive Management by Ministry of Health and both sides agreed that Turkey would become a health IT hub in the region with HIMSS Eurasia event.
It was emphasized during the meeting that the success of Turkey in health IT made it a role model for the regional and developing countries. It was also recorded that the opportunity of discovering health IT innovations and investments would be presented to the professionals of not only from Turkey but also from the world in HIMSS Eurasia event.
