Charles Alessi, HIMSS Chief Clinical Officer, Senior Advisor Public Health England
“What should people think about globally? Do we have to start running while we’re just learning to walk? We are still struggling with some basic issues in health services. For example, interoperability of health systems is one of them.”

Manish Kohli, US CMIO Aurora Health Care MD, MOH, MBA, FHIMSS, Senior VP
“In the last 15-20 years, health services have shown a great improvement. Only 10 percent of the data is associated with the patient, 5 percent is environmental, 15 percent is social interactions, 30 percent is related to our genetics and 40 percent is personal behaviors. Therefore, when we look at the factors affecting health, we are not talking about a hospital or clinic. 90 percent of the data is not even information that doctors can take.”
