Hal Wolf – HIMSS CEO & President and his team came together with Dr. Şuayip Birinci – Turkish Republic Ministry of Health Deputy Secretary in 10 April 2018 in Ankara. As a follow up meeting of the one in HIMSS Conference and Exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, it has been spoken that HIMSS Eurasia is the biggest event in health IT sector and Turkey’s leadership in the region.
The meeting was hosted by Dr. Şuayip Birinci – Turkish Republic Ministry of Health Deputy Secretary and Mahir Ülgü – Health Informatics Systems General Manager. Hal Wolf HIMSS CEO & President, Cathrine Ryan HIMSS Vice President, John Rayner HIMSS Latin America and Europe Director, Angela Velkova HIMSS Senior Community Manager, Adeline Goffin HIMSS Europe and LATAM Sales Director, Ass. Prof. İlker Köse HIMSS Analytics Turkey Director, Suna Kırdağ Mahir HIMSS Analytics Turkey Coordinator attended in the meeting. There was also HIMSS Eurasia team – Feyzullah Akben Ekspoturk Co-Founder, Beşir Kemal Şahin Ekspoturk CEO and Ekspoturk International Marketing Director Betül Arslan at the meeting.
It was again emphasized in the meeting that Turkey became an important focus health IT center in the region and the Turkey’s success was one of the subjects to be told. It was also told that HIMSS Eurasia, to be held in 25-27 October 2018 in Istanbul, will give the opportunity to the professionals not only in Turkey but also all around the world to be in an environment where they can learn and share information about the innovations and investments in the sector. It was indicated that Turkey became an example for the regional countries with its developments and transformations in health and health IT area.
