“Chronic diseases in the world cover wide areas in health budgets in terms of cost. Also in this sense, Turkey is shifting health policies to the issue of chronic diseases.”

“Transporting any patient care process from the hospital to home, requires an approach that covers the whole system.”

“During the last 15-20 years of development in Denmark, the number of hospitals has decreased and the size and scope of hospitals have been widening.”

Charles Alessi, HIMSS Chief Clinical Officer, Senior Advisor Public Health England:
“Today we are talking about individualized health services. We see that healthcare services have gone through tremendous changes by turning around the person. Cost is an important issue here. With the aging, the phenomenon of multimorbidity appears.”

Sari Kaari from Finnish Health Village Project Manager:
“We have 5.5 million aging population. Due to chronic diseases, our health services are becoming more expensive. Beyond digitalization of our current services we perform operational changes within the scope of e-health services.”

Specialist Dr. Nurgül Balcı, Public Hospitals General Management, Health and Care Services at Home Coordination:
“Management of the patient with chronic diseases, the role of home care services are becoming increasingly important.”

Nejat Çakmak from Sisoft:
“As a software company, we are on the practical side instead of the theoretic side of this. We have contributed in the sense of software with family medicine information system for home care. We have already implemented software that enables patients to share health recordings with their doctors via smart TV and smart devices at home. We can integrate the patient data with the hospital information management system. If there will be a task for us in terms of software, we are ready to do.”
