Born in 1971 in Istanbul, Gürhan graduated from medical school in 1996 and became an Orthopedic Specialist in 2002. In 2022, he earned a master’s degree in Business Engineering.
Since 2013, Gürhan has led the transformation of Tire Hospital. During this period, Tire State Hospital successfully passed the EMRAM Stage 7 evaluation, becoming the first hospital in Turkey and the third in Europe and the Middle East to achieve this milestone. In 2020, he received the HIMSS Fellow certificate.
In 2017, Gürhan joined the HIMSS EMEA Board of Directors and currently serves as a member of the HIMSS EMEA Advisory Board. He has participated in the EMRAM evaluations of numerous hospitals across the EMEA region. Gürhan lectures globally on healthcare informatics, patient safety, and clinical documentation and is passionate about artificial intelligence in healthcare services and data science. He is also a member of the KLAS International Advisory Board.
