Muharrem Usta was born in 1965 in Trabzon. He graduated from Trabzon High School in 1983 and Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 1989, becoming an ENT specialist in 1992. In 1993, he shifted his focus to hospital management, laying the foundations for MLP Care (Medical Park and Liv Hospital).
Muharrem Usta has served as the Chairperson of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Health Committee, a Member of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council, the Chairperson of the Health Commission, and the Founding President of the Association of Private Hospitals and Healthcare Institutions (OHSAD).
Currently, he serves as the Chairperson of the Board and CEO of MLP Care, as well as the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at İstinye University. He is the father of three children.
