Nihat Barış Sebik graduated from Başkent University Department of Computer Engineering in 2012. He completed his master’s degree in Computer Engineering at Gazi University in 2018. Since 2020, he has been pursuing his doctorate in Health Management at Hacettepe University and is currently in the thesis stage.
Sebik began his professional career in 2012 in the private sector and joined the Turkish Social Security Institution (SGK) in 2013, where he worked as a programmer on various software projects. In September 2014, he started working at the Turkish Ministry of Health as a Health Assistant Specialist and was promoted to the Health Specialist position in 2018.
From 2018 to 2023, he served as a Unit Manager and Coordinator in the General Directorate of Health Information Systems. He has presented oral papers at national and international conferences, contributed to book chapters, and authored various publications. Additionally, he lectures as a visiting faculty member on Health Informatics and Software Project Management.
In May 2023, he was appointed as a Head of Department in the General Directorate of Health Information Systems at the Turkish Ministry of Health. Nihat Barış Sebik is proficient in English.
