Prof. Dr. Ebru Akçapınar Sezer has been working for the past 25 years in the fields of artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, natural language processing, and uncertainty management. Dr. Sezer has published over 75 research articles in SCI(E)-indexed journals and more than 250 scientific publications in the field of artificial intelligence. Her most notable and distinctive expertise lies in developing machine learning models for industrial applications and proposing methodological approaches.
In two key areas, Smart Cities and Smart Healthcare, she has served as a researcher and/or manager in 7 academic and over 30 university-industry collaboration projects, developing and presenting machine learning models.
In recognition of her international contributions to artificial intelligence, Dr. Sezer was awarded the Hacettepe University Science Award in 2019. In the same year, she pioneered the establishment of Türkiye’s first Artificial Intelligence Engineering undergraduate program.
Dr. Sezer currently continues her scientific and industrial activities in the Department of Computer Engineering at Hacettepe University.
