HIMSS’18 EURASIA WAS HELD WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF IT EXECUTIVES AND SECTOR PROFESSIONALS

HIMSS’18 Eurasia brought together the health IT professionals at Istanbul Pullman Hotel in 25-27 October 2018. There were participants from 23 countries through three days from Azerbaijan, United Arab Emirates, USA, England, Germany, Finland, NRTC, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, Malaysia, Tajikistan, Mali, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, Sudan, Moldova, Iran, Qatar, Netherlands, France, Romania and Kirgizstan.
The Theme “Turkey The Health IT Hub” Shining Out
HIMSS Eurasia was opened with the participation of T.R. Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Şuayip Birinci, Malaysia Minister of Health Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, NRTC Minister of Health Dr. Filiz Besim, HIMSS President & CEO Hal Wolf and Medipol University Rector Prof. Sabahattin Aydın. Following the opening ceremony, Ministers talked at the panel discussion “Health Vision in Turkey and The World”.

EMRAM Stage 6 & 7 Award Ceremony
Managers of 164 hospitals winning Stage 6 or 7 degrees and Provincial Health Directors were presented their awards by T.R. Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Şuayip Birinci, HIMSS President & CEO Hal Wolf, HIMSS Analytics Europe and Latin America Regional Director John Rayner, T.R. Ministry of Health Health Information Systems General Manager Dr. M. Mahir Ülgü and Medipol University Academician and HIMSS Analytics Turkey Director Dr. İlker Köse.

Digital Hospital Attracted the Visitors
Hardware, software, device and technologic products usage and application samples were exhibited in Digital Hospital Pavilion. The systems were told to the visitors, which eases patient care services for health professionals and provide better and quality time service for patients. The Digital Hospital concept was very attracting also for the foreign health delegations.

IT Companies Exhibited Their Products and Services at the Booths
42 companies showcased their products and services on the exhibition floor. The exhibition lasting for three days, attracted foreign and local visitors.

GUEST MINISTERS WATCHED TURKEY’S SUCCESS WITH A GREAT INTEREST
6 Ministers from other countries visited T.R. Ministry of Health booth and other exhibitors with their delegations, which were also visited by almost 80 foreign participants from 28 countries.

Participants Attended in the Panels Through Three Days
19 panels and other meetings with 45 speakers from 9 countries drew interest of the visitors. Cybersecurity, advanced Technologies, Al, big data, homecare and digital hospital was some og the subject that was talked about in the interactive panels.

Turkey The Health IT Hub Talked at the TÜSAP Vision Meeting
The meeting was opened with T.R. Deputy Minister of Health’s speech. The main speaker was Technology Development Foundation of Turkey President(TTGV) Cengiz Ultav. TÜSAP members and sector representatives attended in the panel discussion “The Roadmap for Turkey to be a Health IT Hub” moderated by HIMSS Analytics Turkey Director Dr. İlker Köse.

Closing Keynotes
T.R. Ministry of Health, Health Information Systems General Manager Dr. Mahir Ülgü and Medipol University Academician and HIMSS Analytics Turkey Director Dr. İlker Köse talked in the closing of the conference. They wished to meet again next year by telling Turkey to strenghten its leadership in the region.

Preparation for HIMSS’19 Eurasia Already Started
The 5th edition of the event this year attracted more visitors than last years. Preparations for 2019 edition has already been started. We invite all corporations, associations, organizations and other shareholders to be a part of “Turkey the Health IT Hub” mission and wish them all fruitful and profitable future.
